All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

Midnight Wind and know We (none of us) will ever pass this way again or so is written but LONG LONG may ‘the People’ be.
We'll never pass this way again, because you can't step into the same river twice, and because when you come back to where the Earth was a year ago, it has moved on, down a long, spiral track.
SpiralsLike a top slowly spinning, the Earth wobbles round,
As it circles the center, and plunges on down,
Just following blindly the bore thats been set,
In a long looping circle we havent closed yet.
The edges spin slowly, the center quite fast,
In a movement of endless enormities vast,
Whose masses are tangled with webbing unseen,
That tugs them and trips them and all in between.
Then out from this puddle of bright creamy sheen,
For stretches unmindful of time in between,
The clean empty nothing that lets one see far,
But allows only cold silent shadows of stars,
To wander forever in search of a mind,
And will, full of wonder that helps it unwind,
The clockwork thats ticking, as time travels on,
Toward an eventually bright mental dawn.

Thank You Bob ... Tears, Friend, Tears ...
When you see a thread disappear, you should understand that we are all interwoven, and that a new thread will arise a little farther down, to do its part, and then be gone once more.
SpinningA wreath is a loop, its a circular thing,
But the way of our ways is more spiral than ring.
It circles around, that is true in its way,
But it doesnt come back to the point where it lay.
It just carries on forward and makes a new start,
Putting down fresh material to cover that part.
A spiral, a turning, a twisting around,
As days follow days like the manna we found.
For manna from Heaven is the time we receive,
Every day, every morning, then we get up and leave,
Our abode and our comfort, in trust that well find,
It will be there to hold us and help us unwind.
Every day as we dance, through our pirouette style,
We lay out our moments like a gossamer mile,
Of thin silken fibers of dreams and intent,
As we spin our lifes work in the days that weve spent.
With our neighbors and friends as we dodge and we dance,
With the warp and the weft, and some colors perchance,
We are making a tapestry, each one in our way,
Contributes a part with his actions that day.
And Who is the artist? The Weaver sublime?
The patient Director Who gathers up time?
Why Who else would it be but the Master of days,
Making silk from the cobwebs weve strewn in His ways.

Good luck with all that! Temps in the 20s here, but I had a good turnout for choir practice anyway. Soon I’ll put Kathleen to bed. I got her a little black velour dress at The Salvation Army yesterday, and it has inspired her (so she says) to perform a beautiful and important dance, with two stuffed cats. Much better than running around shrieking.
Afternoon, Bob. Afternoon, n-t-I.
It’s cold here, but we have Sunbeam at least.
Afternoon T-c ... May all be well with you and yours!
Everyone here is doing fine, although that may change now that Kathleen and Frank are upstairs unsupervised, and I think I hear water running ...
Thank You for that LOL ... Don’t listen to ‘em ... They will tell you they’ve been kicked around since they were born ... well, I hope not ...
Ain’t it grand that so many hate America, yet Free Republic is staying alive ... Been a Great Run ... and prayers for your Marathoners.
Turns out it wasn’t running water; that sound must have been the wind. They were climbing into Pat’s bed.
I retrieved Kathleen and put her in her own bed, with many animals.
May Kathleen have the Tiger or Jake and his swords!
She has a small tiger and Hello Kitty in a blue snowsuit. Last time I saw Jake was having a sunbeam in Tom’s bed. Tom went out last night and hasn’t come back, even though I’m pretty sure DP told him to be home at 11:00 today. He’s relying on his friends to drive, never the best plan if you hope to be prompt.
Ungh....
The phone is wonderful, but it has no instructions. The computer is — um — here. It has been outfitted with brand new programming, and I’m not familiar with any of it. I need my Win 8-8.1 destruction book.
It will probably take me two days or more to get everything downloaded and working properly. *sigh*
And my ulcers are bleeding again, so while I was picking up a prescription, I got two bananas so I can spend the next two days treating the ulcers.
It’s 67 here, and I would love to be out in the sun, just to sit for a while.
Did Kathleen perform her beautiful and important dance for you? And if so, did you take a video of said performance? That would be fun to watch.
To save you time and effort, don't bother looking in Washington D. C.
Don't say that too loudly anywhere near NY state (and probably others). They'll add it to the list of stuff that they require vaccinations for...
Amen, and am not longer looking inside the TEA. Has been a day to be remembered. Learned much today while not posting.
