ATLANTIC CITY A 45-year-old man who on Friday finished serving 30 years in prison is charged with killing his mother two days after being released, authorities said.
Steven Pratt was arrested Sunday morning, less than 48 hours after he was freed from Bayside State Prison for killing his neighbor in 1984.
Gwendolyn Pratt, 64, was found dead in her McKinley Avenue home around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Atlantic City Prosecutor Jim McClain said. She died of massive blunt injuries to her head.
A welcome-home party for Steven Pratt had just been held, PressofAC.com reported.

Agreed re your comment.
I was referring to the statement usually made ,"momma didn't raise no fool" that in this case such was not so.
More correctly, momma had not seen him after the first 15 years.
Sad all around.

Welcome Home to you too, Brother.
I liked the pretty country too, but from the air hated all the bomb/artillery cratered scenery.

Yet another news story that makes me admire the chinese criminal justice system......
The son of a friend works in Hong Kong and often travels to China to meet with some government officials.
On one such visit the minister with whom he was to meet arrived late and apologized by saying that he had had to attend a mass execution at a nearby stadium.

In the flat lands, and heavily contested areas, the ground was definitely "turned".
There were areas, however, on the coast as well as in the highlands, that would compete with any other paradise imaginable.

Just a guess that we won’t see too much of this story in the media for fear of appearing racist...

What is it with so many people here who dont understand when to use be in a sentence and when not to. In ordinary usage that sentence would read: He a good boy, he getting his life turned around.
Local differences in dialect.

Corrrection: First murder conviction from a murder he committed at age 15. How many others, how many more yet to be is unknown.

Yes, sometimes innocent people are executed. But more often, murderers who are not executed go on to kill again.

Close. It was “Kilt him a bar, when he wuz only three”. (I had the record as a child and practically wore the grooves out)
