WalMart is plenty big enough to absorb the loss of the store

And not the type of outfit that will keep the store open if it becomes unprofitable. That could easily happen if shoppers opt to go to other WalMart stores.

Yeah, Walmart should give them a “food dessert” for a week, see how they like it. Seriously, if some of the stores in these afflicted areas should let it known that they are thinking of leaving because of the high crime perhaps all of those “community organizers” will finally get the hint.
