A very rational view of how we aren't being rational about Ebola and how this epidemic may get out of control.

There is never a good reason to “panic.”

I've been a mind-numbed robot and ditto-head for 22 years.

When Rush says it's time to panic, I'll panic...

one should not panic at whatever crisis has momentarily fixed the attention of cable news producers.

Nope. One should not panic PERIOD.

run in circles
scream and shout

Good summary. Very sobering. Unfortunately we will likely see rational government action based on panic when our open borders become a flood of infected people that begin killing Americans. But what will it take?! No one is taking action as a result of the ongoing pestilence and death coming across the Mexican border. How many more Americans need to become infected or dead, how many dollars before action is accepted as necessary?

I would replace “panic” with “realize that we are on our own.”

I think our government is panicking by sending all of the troops to Africa. I was just reading in Forbes magazine about the billions of dollars flowing into the African business sector. Big business boom there. Have we secretly pour billions into Africa?

But the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, which has migrated to both Europe and America, may be the exception that proves the rule.

Oh please.

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs ... perhaps you have misread the situation.

Fantastic article that corrects misinformation about how long ebola survives on dry surfaces.

Read this and you may find more reason to panic about Ebola this winter: http://pissinontheroses.blogspot.com/2014/09/us-army-says-ebola-flu-in-airborne.html

Lately a reason to quietly panic is that the “experts” such as the idiot doctor in New York bowling, and the idiot nurse suing, is that they endanger people without any remorse, it seems.

No reason to panic. Reason. Be informed. Be prepared. Adapt to the changing circumstances. Do not be a victim.

Good article. Thanks for posting.

There's a good possibility this thing has gotten loose into nature, like mites, flies or mosquitos, biting bats, transmitting it in bat caves or underpasses if you like that better, and chimps at the zoo. Yep, it's likely to be here indefinitely with periodic outbreaks like the black plague. That's still around. Only it can be treated effectively now, I think.

We had two phase outbreaks with the Spanish flu, maybe more smaller ones. Finally it went away so somehow it stopped spreading.

Watch countries that don't get it, if any, and look how they kept it out, if they do.
