Most surgery patients who are smokers usually die after surgery. Second hand smokers don’t fare much better. If we had only known the relationship between post surgery deaths and cigarettes decades ago, we could literally have saved at least 10’s of millions of people.

What a load of crap. do you shovel the global warming BS too?

My dad has had heart surgery multiple times over the last 20 years and still smokes. Sure he'll eventually die but so will non smokers.

An increase in post op deaths perhaps? Yea that's logical. "Most"??? No that's quite a stretch. Too many varying factors including how many a day, condition of heart and lungs, etc.

Can you show me ONE death certificate that has “Second Hand Smoke” as cause of death?

I’ll answer that for you, No you cannot, because the whole secondhand smoke is bad for you meme was manufactured out of whole cloth by the anti-smoking gnatzis because they don’t like the aroma of tobacco smoke.

There was a huge metastudy done by the WHO several years ago that found that the ONLY statistically significant effect of exposure to secondhand smoke was in children, where said smoke had an IMMUNIZING EFFECT against lung disease in adulthood.

Whether you support the demonization of smoking or not, at least try to use factual information rather than spouting the talking points of the left.

That’s the FIRST I’ve ever heard of that. Got a link for that confirmed study?

I have two relatives who smoke and they’ve each had several surgeries....that they didn’t die from, afterwards. Still kickin’.

That is absolute nonsense...My hubby has had several surgeries, including a kidney removed and each time has healed up so rapidly it amazed the doctor. He smokes more than a pack a day. My dad was also quick to recover from surgery, he smoked camel non filters. I know many smokers and they have breezed through surgery over and over. One thing is they are all hard working, fit country people so that may help. The smoking has not slowed their healing though.

ALL surgery patients who are non-smokers die after surgery. Some may die sooner than others. Some may live to be a hundred. But all DIE!

I would say all surgery patients die after surgery. It is just a matter of when. I , myself , had surgery in 1972 and I am going to die after that surgery. what I don’t know is when it will be. As of today, I am 71 years old. How much longer I will last, I can’t say, but it will be after the surgery.

Poor Umgud, two days later, and people are STILL falling into your ‘Rabbit-Trap”! It’s like the Bell that cannot be unrung.
I know you were purposely talking ‘over the top’ but something about your statement really struck a nerve with some people, really shines a light on a hidden fear.
