A Dallas nurse who recovered from Ebola has been reunited with her dog Bentley, who has spent 21 days in quarantine.
The King Charles Cavalier spaniel has undergone twice-daily check-ups by vets in hazmat suits at a secret naval base while his owner, Nina Pham, was treated for the deadly virus.
This morning, the pair were reunited privately on Saturday at the secret location near the Texan city where he had been isolated since she fell ill.

Mr Bentley is a TAMU Aggies fan....
Of course...without a doubt. /s

Oh, yeah that. I’d about forgotten the epidemic was going on. I’ll bet the parents of those poor school children won’t ever forget what took their loved one, or that no one from the White House seemed to care about their personal tragedy. Some symptoms are similar to polio.
“...at a secret naval base”
How secret can it be if everyone knows it exists?
I prefer to think Bentley is wearing the leash only because he lacks opposable thumbs.
Don’t worry! After all, what’s YOUR share of the debt that Obola has racked up? A half million for treatment seems much mor palatable!
There is a secret naval base in Texas? Seriously? a secret BASE?
lol
And Romney offered to travel cross country with the dog strapped to the roof of his car to show that there was no risk.
How secret can it be if everyone knows it exists?

I caught that, too. It’s the abandoned NAS Dallas located in Grand Prairie, between Dallas and Fort Worth. and local TV stations have frequently shown footage of Bentley there.
It closed when Carswell AFB changed to a JRB. ....I spent my years in the Naval Air Reserve, before and after my active duty years, at NAS Dallas as a member of a VP Squadron.
Reunited...and it feels so good :)

LOL, I guess my next German Shepherd will be a Duesenberg; Duezie for short.
Never thought about that angle - I can finally have what I always wanted!
*dances around the room*
It was so cute that Bentley was so nicely cleaned up by the cdc staff. So nice.

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Thanks for the ping!
