I downloaded the 10 Preview on a old laptop. Was great to see the start menu back. Can’t wait for next year when it’s released.

Windows 8, just a transition OS?

No. Windows 8 is to computers what Dems are to the 2014 election.

I’ve been running the Windows 10 Technical Preview for a couple of weeks. (Desktop mode only) It’s very much like 8.1u1, with additional enhancements for those who freaked-out about the lack of the Start button and the Modern UI.

I’ve had no problems and would not hesitate to upgrade from older, less-secure versions of Windows, ESPECIALLY XP and Vista. If you like 7 or 8, you should be just fine until support ends for them.

“even though adoption of this particular operating system (Windows 8)wasn’t really meeting expectations.”

Hahah that’s an understatement if there ever was one.

I’ve actually seen several YouTube videos demonstrating Windows 10 Technical Preview. The highly Desktop user interface centric orientation of Windows 10 is why I expect Windows 10 to be a huge hit among corporate and government users.

I am almost ready to say with 100% certainty that Microsoft has turned the corner.

Their new CEO is a family guy that came up through the ranks. He appears to know how to get the company turned around and headed in a better direction.

Microsoft did the right in adopting in an open source model to developing Windows 10.

It will make for a better final product. The way Windows 8 came about sucked.

That suffered in both usability and appearance.

No one liked it.
