I don’t understand this championship format and I don’t even know who’s ahead in points but will the champion be the one who finishes ahead of the other three or can the guy who’s last in points win by finishing several places ahead of the others? If he’s down by five points does he need to finish six places ahead of the points leader?
Ouch. It’s a freeze your butt off 58 here in Concord.

We won’t get the degree of cold you have but low 20’s will be the minimums this weekend until the Albert Gore Clipper passes on through.

He’s been consistently fast all season.
Bizarre format — I am hoping that Jeff Gordon wins it and Newman comes in 2nd — that way Newman will win the championship without having won a single race all season — seems fitting.
All four competitors for the championship will have their points reset this week so that no one is ahead or behind. The one of the four that finishes ahead of the other three wins the championship. Simple.

I like this format. 4 drivers even.
This cold is painful. We just didn’t have the cool down period to get a bit prepared physically for it. 70 Sunday, 60 Monday morning, 20 Monday evening.
