The problem is not with the moderators. The rule is no profanity. If you post daily threads from a garbage bin, you’ve got a lot of clean up on your hands.

I get that, Jim. I’d argue that a distinction might be made between “profanity stated in context” (with asterisks, say) in an original post like DUFU, as opposed to FReepers *originating* profanity in our vanity posts and replies.
Your moderators can be heavy-handed and arbitrary in other ways besides profanity. Frankly, when I notice it, it’s the arbitrary that bugs me more than the heavy-handed.
But please maintain perspective. Moderation issues are not a BIG deal to complain about, rather a small thing to rib you about. Overall your site is well (and fairly) run, to everyone’s benefit.
Therefore, no reason for YOU to engage in hyperbole, like “don’t donate to a site you despise”.
For my own part, I have taken to heart the times I have been “disciplined”. I try to stay within the spirit of the rules and I avoid provoking your mods. Usually. :-) No one is perfect.
