An unexplained, polio-like illness has now affected 75 children across the country, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The first cases were reported in August in Colorado, around the same time that children began going to the emergency room with breathing problems related to enterovirus D68, according to the CDC. The CDC reports 1,116 cases of the enterovirus in 47 states and Washington, D.C., in recent months, almost all in children. Twelve children with the virus have died.

The paralysis resembles polio in that the children have severe muscle weakness. All had a fever and respiratory symptoms about a week before developing the paralysis. Most of the children had problems with the spinal cord that could be seen on a magnetic resonance image, or MRI, according to the CDC.
Some of the children also had enterovirus D68 in their nasal mucus. That virus typically causes respiratory problems, so doctors don't know if it's to blame for the paralysis, according to the CDC.
Enteroviruses are a large family of viruses that can cause "summer colds," or respiratory bugs in late summer or early fall.
To reduce the risk of contracting enterovirus D68 – as well as the flu or other infectious diseases – the CDC recommends that people wash their hands frequently.

Overlay the geographical location of these poor children and I’d bet there is a direct correlation with the dispersal of thousands of unaccompanied illegal alien children.
We have in this country diseases that were being stamped out in my childhood years of the 50s. Largely, after I grew older, these diseases were considered effectively extinct. It isn’t because of mosquitos, or any of these horsesh!t reasons the CDC and our political masters tell us. It is because of illegals.

In my estimation, this unchecked, unscreened welcome illegals are receiving is nothing short of treason. Obama has exposed our entire country to potential disease and death in a health system that thought it had eradicated these disease decades ago.
He has subjected our most treasured asset, our children, to threats for which we are wholly unprepared. It is heinous - it is criminal.
Maybe Obama’s MAGIC PEN AND PHONE can raise the dead and heal those inflicted with this disease.
He sure thinks he is all powerful and the all mighty pen is the answer.
Need to ask Obama for an Executive Order to stop this disease and bring back the 12 dead kids and cure the 74 paralyzed kids Illegal Immigration has caused America.

The CDC and other federal entities with the responsibiliity have done no real investigative work to determine the virus' origin and how it was transmitted to 46 states.
Seems their mission now is to not find where diseases originated, or how they were spread.
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
