"A part-beagle named Buddy didn't wait for an invitation to see his 85-year-old master at a Texas hospital. The dog hitched a ride on the outside of an ambulance transporting his owner.....The ambulance had been driving for about 20 miles before another motorist flagged down the driver to say there was a dog on the side step......

We rescue dogs. This is Sammy (Samantha) who was found tied to a post with kids throwing stones at her.
In December of 2013 I was doing an inspection on a mobile home where renters had skipped out. I heard some noise under a wooden porch and could tell it was the wagging tail of a scared dog. With a little work and some treats that are always in my truck, I coaxed him out. I stood there in tears and total amazement when I met the wonderful friend who God sent us ten years to the week of when we found our Sammy girl.
You are blessed as are those dogs. Sweet.
Beautiful pups!
It always amazes me how a dog will forgive any man-made transgression. They will still seek out human contact and love the one their with.
A human...not so much.
And a cat will remember every wrong in their life and take it out on every human that tries to love them in their life.
Precious pictures and stories, thank you for sharing.
This elderly man has a little guardian angel, doesn’t he?
Lucky dogs.
Lucky you.
.
Thanks for sharing those stories. How can kids be so cruel as to throw rocks at an animal?
He looks like he’s inflated with helium :-)
Happy little mixed-breed porker, mostly Beagle. I’ve known many dogs like him over the course of my life, never my own but belonging to neighbors, friends or family. Sweet, smart, gentle little dogs who love a snack and a nap just as much as anybody, and will go happily overboard with both if you let them, lol.
When I lived at my previous place, one of my neighbors had a collie-corgi mix! It looked like a fuzzy oak barrel with stubby legs. He looked happy being roly-poly in the yard.
