So “Privacy” to Facebook is like “Affordable” to Nancy Pelosi.

"People who use Zuckbook have rocks for brains."

I agree. People don’t understand that they “pay” to use Zuckbook by giving up their privacy.

Narcissists don’t want privacy anyway. So there’s really no problem here.

My FB page (which you need to read OTHER people’s pages) consists of a variation of my RL name and that is it.

People who willingly supply more information than that are nuts!

From your link...
“Facebook is not really a social network at all. It’s an advertising platform. The advertiser is the customer, and the user is the product that is being bought and sold. “

And that goes for any ‘free’ network: television, radio; including their ‘news’ departments.
“the user is the product that is being bought and sold.”

There's a saying "If you're not paying for it, you're not the customer. You're the product being sold". The way Facebook makes its money is by selling info about Facebook users. Facebook makes its money from data mining its users. You expect "privacy" from facebook?

If you want it to be private then don’t put it on Facebook. Simple. Doesn’t mean you can’t use Facebook. Just use your head.

He’s right. Anything I don’t want in public stays off FB, it’s never been told my phone number, my address, or my birthday. No “check ins” or anything similar. They can’t share what they don’t know.
