The Dragonflies' Lair 2

My Dragonfly And Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning everyone.

Cold, cold, cold! Someone said it is Spring. I doubt it.

Take a vacation today with me
a fantasy castle we shall see
pack lite now a tooth brush and robe
no passport needed -we’re taking the high road.

We’ll drift around space on high puffy clouds
touch the face of Venus, and ride the rings of Saturn.
The moon will glow for her adoring crowd
as we tip our cups and toast her a new one
play in the stardust from dusk ‘til dawn
catching the comets passing by
while having a golly good time.

Are you free to write a few random lines of poetry
I will then pick it up and add to it.
What say you?

Dawn peeks through mist and trees,
squires before their knights on their knees,
banners limp in the listless air,
as off in the distance, trumpets blare.

Clatter of armor as men-at-arms march,
the sun eeks through and throats become parched,
hoarse voices cry out as battle is joined
and a new song by the minstrels is coined.

Early morn her Ladyship awakens
cool morning air drifts through the tower window
clears her mind, but thoughts of clamor and slashing blades
ring in her ears — she touches her brow
her long slender fingers brush away stray
flaxen colored hairs from her face.

She stands tall and lean
but the sadness of his death has gathered around her eyes
a permanent state of grief, yet a determined jaw line hard as steel not as a loser, but a winner
he took a sword for her honor to save.

There had been so much pain
their love was not meant for this world.
Their earthly life was spent preparing for
the other world of golden Paths and mossy cool meadows.

Their planet is Round Honey Comb.

Thanks Tom!

Our weather is going to take a nose dive beginning tonight.

Temp today was in the low 50s, coming for the weekend - cold and snow.

I am (once again, yeah I know) headed for the Middle Ages this weekend.

The Bride and I are daytripping to the Coronation of the new King and Queen, and the new King has declared there will be nothing but puns, bad jokes, and ribald humor for the entire length of his reign.

Heh, heh, heh...
