Why aren’t cops equipped with guns that fire capture nets capable of trapping (without injuring) a potentially dangerous animal? If wild Kingdom can use them on jungle cats, they should work for domesticated pets.

Mainly because it is not Police Department policy to shoot dogs. Its hard to get LEO so they take almost anyone with a pulse and then look the other way on minor shit like killing family pets willy nilly.

Yes, there are dedicated smart cops who use common sense, but they are minoritied by the jerks that like a job that doesn’t require actual work and mostly like being able to bully citizens, good or bad, with almost impunity.

Exactly.. If there was any aggression from the dog it was more than likely toward the motorcycle. Cops and people in general are in desperate need of dog behavior education.

Sounds to me; even from your own statements, that this cop was just another piece of crap shitstain looking for a workers comp claim and early disability retirement, or just a quick payday.
Seems very strange to me; even though I am not a “Lazy, worthless, blue coated pig” that I can tell when a dog is being aggressive or just curious.
