If you could go ANYWHERE in the world(Funding no object) where would be the Top 10 places you would LOVE to visit?
Ephesus as well, Macedonia, Gordonia, The Highlands, Alaska, The Arctic circle (anywhere), New Zealand/Tasmania/Australia, and the Florida Keys, plus all of the other places I have been: Port Arthur is nice this time of year.

I also want to go to Nova Scotia/Prince Edward Island and the rest of Eastern Canada.
My grandfather was the anthropologist and medical doctor for Hiram Bingham's expedition in 1912. He was a friend of Hiram's. My grandfather also helped map the headwaters of the Urubamba River, a major tributary of the Amazon.

I would also like to visit the sites of the 7 Churches of Revelation as well.
We took a river cruise in September on the Seine starting in Paris, to Normandy, and back, on AmaWaterways. 160 people, and loved it! Looking at the orient next year. Only way to travel.
Israel is at the top of my list!
Vienna and Paris are great. Great food and beautiful locales. If you go to France in the summer don’t miss the Monet Gardens outside of Paris. Spectacular.
Don’t miss Capri and, if you can ,spend time on the island as opposed to a day trip.It’s enchanting as you walk along cobblestone streets unburdened by cars.

1. i’d like to go back and stand near Plymouth Rock, and see how many have chipped away at it for worthless souvenirs, and gauge it’s present size, frome when i first laid eyes on it, as a young boy.
2. i’d like to go back to Stamford CT, for two things:
a./ to see if the Revolutionary War redoubt called Fort Stamford still stands, or has been sold to property developers;
b./ to see what has been wrought from the sale of the family property, that once stood as a bastion, with it’s mortar and granite stone base, erected in 1858.
3. i’d like to see what became of:
a./ my old USAF training base, Lowry AFB, CO.
b./ a little Swiss restaurant, that had the best apple pie with a melted cheese topping.
c./ a Mexican restaurant, that had cliff divers inside the place.
4. i’d like to see with my own eyes, and not just computer pictures, of what became of the home of the 35th Tactical Fighter Wing, near Adelanto, CA.
5. i’d like to see if the town of Billings, MT, still has enough of ‘Main Street America’, as it did when I visited there just before the turn of the millenium.
6. i’d like to visit the old seafood shack located in Smyrna, DE, and watch the horseshoe crabs on the shore, while enjoying one of their delicious meals.
7. This Cold War veteran would like to visit and pay homage at the burial site of President Ronald Reagan.
Yes! As a matter of fact it was an Avalon cruise. The vessel was only about three years old, and beautiful. The crew was amazing. A trip of a lifetime, for sure. The only problem was when we got to Paris, the Seine was too high (or too low, can’t remember) and the ship could not meet us at the appointed time. They had to juggle our schedules around and we were not able to go to Versaille. Argh! Still, an incredible journey that we will never forget.

If you saw Plymouth Rock as a young boy you probably remember it being a lot bigger than it is. We lived in Plymouth many years ago and everyone who came to visit was sorely disappointed by it’s size. We now live about 15 miles away and ,frankly, it’s still pretty small. It’s also pretty well protected.
A much better take in the same area is the Plimouth Plantation, which is a re-creation of a Pilgrim village. Again, probably not authentic but a pretty good representation of what the settlement could have looked like. Plus it's a "living museum" in which the settlers do some role-play and answer questions about everyday life.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit many amazing places.
So far, Alaska in late June was the highlight! From a luxury suite on a cruise ship with some amazing shore trips.
A charter sailboat in Brazil for new years celebration, south of Rio in Angra dos Reis (anchorage of the kings), comes in at number two. Avoid Carnival it’s too crazy.
Egypt tour was number three. Mind blowing history and in 1997 never felt threatened. Actually, everyone was very gracious. Europe was fun but not nearly as exciting nor impressive.
I’ve got Australia, Asia and Antarctica still left but running out of time.
