A former Infantryman from Easy Co 2/506 101st with video of him calling out a fake Ranger at a local mall.

Wow, what “Heroes”. They have more medals than dear leader...
Is that an Iron Cross?
Simple first clue ...... A fat ranger ?
Yep he’s a poser POS !
Good one!
Actually, if it’s got an oak leaf cluster, it’s worn around the neck and is then a Knight’s Cross...
...EXCEPT...
...he's wearing Infantry officer brass, and officers don't wear weapon qualification badges. Additionally, even though he's wearing officer branch insignia, he's wearing it on an enlisted dress blues tunic (you can tell by the yellow piping/epaulettes).
I know. That’s the way I wear mine when I go to the mall...
Made me laugh...
These posers are both stupid and lazy.
There is plenty of information available on correct uniform wear and medals.
Too many decorations is clue something is wrong!
Yep. No mistake. He was a fake. The interviewer was right on every point that he made. Also, look at his neck, the way he walked, etc., after he claimed to have just returned from the field.
ROTFL Have to bookmark and remember to have my son watch them after he gets out of the Corps (soon). Of course, had to watch the ones about what Marines don’t say. Any suggestions for the transition to civilian?
I have always wondered why posers didn’t actually read the regs on uniforms. It is not like they are classified. A little internet research would tell you how to correctly wear the awards, decorations and accouterments.
I’m glad they dont as it makes them easier to spot.
There is no force of law to be brought to bear. You see, there is this 1st Amendment thingie.
That is why obvious idiots like this deserve to be ridiculed with the full force of modern social media.
And just because you can’t tell doesn’t mean this guy isn’t as screwy as could be.
My impression is that these guys are none too bright.
I’ve always wondered what they really expect to profit from...mil discouts? chicks?
LOL.....I shouldn’t do this, but I really need to sell it, so I’m gonna close the bidding on the Brooklyn Bridge to everyone but YOU and PROCON...However, if you 2 highly intelligent businessman collude to low ball me...I’m gonna go after both of you with the full force of the law....Fair warning!!...All I ask is that you be honest with your bids!
Something ain't right with this whole video...
Ref: “The interrogator was being an @sshole IMO, the “SSG” may have just been intimidated.
I agree, I’m not convinced either...........
In fact, if the SSGT is legit, he should go after this guy with the full force of the law........”
I graduated Ranger class was 10-87. While I spent all of my Infantry time on the Mechanized Infantry side of the house, I picked up on a few things from my Buds who made it into the Rgr Bns.
This guy is as fake as they come. The interrogator simply reflected the attitude of a Soldier who has known people who have died wearing the uniform calling out a faker — He has earned the right to be an @sshole about it.... I am surprised he didn’t rip the “SSG’s” Ranger scroll off. One item I notice he is missing is a RANGER TAB (Which should be on the left shoulder above the unit scroll.) While it is possible to serve in a Ranger Bn without completing Ranger School, those positions are only for new Infantry privates waiting to go to Ranger School or support/admin military occupational specialties. It is not possible of a non-Ranger qualified Infantry NCO to serve as a leader in a Ranger Bn.
If the guy was real, his immediate response would have been to recognize a fellow soldier, talk about when he went to Ranger school and start trying to figure out where the two of them may have walked the same ground. And if he were real, this confrontation would have quickly escalated to a fist fight if the interrogator did not pick up on the SSG’s bonifides.
If Chubby here was the real deal couldn’t he have produced his military ID?
