Arpaio's lead investigator has always said that if no one (such as Congress) with authority to do something with the evidence they discovered, is willing to do so, then they will release their results to the public.
That is what they were ready to do back in March of this year, but something happened. Up until that point, the complete investigation was handled by Arpaio's "cold case posse" (CCP). The CCP is funded by donations, and not tax payers. According to the CCP, there was a break in the case, and this break was significant enough that a separate tax payer funded investigation was opened up. This separate investigation appears to be related to the individual personally responsible for creating the fraudulent LFBC. The fact that Arpaio is using tax payer money to investigate who created the fraudulent document is significant to say the least.
