I recently dumped Chrome for FireFox...LOL! Chrome took forever to load but with that being said, FireFox is giving me problems too.........Maybe it's just my computer.
I found a quick little software tool that seems to remedy certain problems with the Microsoft OS - Toolwiz
I downloaded it from Major Geeks - and used it quite successfully several times on my Desktop and my wife’s. Seems to fix broken links, uninstalled and corrupted HKEY entries, and a few other issues that come with operating from a Window’s based system.
I think the Browser community wants only the add-ons that are compatible with their software - and anything else - they are not willing to fix. Firefox was the premium choice yrs ago - I used it on everything...but with recent upgrades , I found it to stall and i had to go with Chrome.
Depends on what Web experience flavor one wants to go with...
