I still have my dads 1911 from WWII made by Ithaca
ping!
I shot an M&P 40 for a couple of years before I got the 1911. Oh. My. God. After years of pulling the POS Smith and Wesson trigger the 1911 was like “buttah.”
I love my 1911. I want to keep buying them. Big ones, little ones, blue ones, silver ones...
bkmk
BFL.
When I finally buy my handgun, it will be one of these.
My birfday present from Baby Bro was a replacement of all my mags with Wilson Combat 8-round beauties. Eight in the grip and one up the pipe means I now have to miss the buggerz 9 times before I beat them to death with the empty gun.
Candidate for best post of 2014...
I like that — thanks
LOL!!
Just remember, guns are like any other inanimate object that animates itelsf adn goes on a killing ramapge - same as hammers, SUVs, Beer bottles, Tire irons..
Good thing you havent lost it in a Boating accident

I admit I haven’t searched but it would be cool to see one with gif showing AR platform
A tabletop grinder with a cloth buffing wheel (or whatever you use to polish metal) will take care of that Glock lickiddysplit.
EVER gun I have gets a polish before I even take to firing it. EVERY gun I have gets all metal-to-metal surfaces polished with extra care given to the trigger and feed ramp.
Even my S&W SW40 trigger pull is smooth as silk after a quick polish to a mirror. It was jittery (or I call it ratchety) from the factory. Buffing wheel smoothed all the jitters out.
I have a Bersa Thunder thats trigger pull will rival a Kimber without any aftermarket upgrades.
L.O.L.!...Yes
I made a point of mentioning “stock” trigger.
The casual shooter isn’t going to take a brand new gun apart and polish the trigger.
PFL...
During the small arms portion of USN gunnery school...the instructor was a gunners mate when the military was making the switch from the .38 to Brownings masterpiece. He spent two days on the .45acp and the 1911. I been a big fan ever since.
Pinging some old FRiends to wish them a merry Christmas.
Bump...
Best wishes for this Christmas season as well my friend. What out for looters or “undocumented shoppers” as Holder likes to call em.....:o)
