Why would anyone call the cops to talk someone into taking medications. They have their hands full trying to stop the criminal elements and rioters. Call a counselor, therapist, psychiatrist or relative who has been able to help in the past. Don't be calling a man with a gun - he's likely to use it.

Read Post #34 and you'll understand. The mental health professionals and families hands are tied by the laws. Then you'll also understand why police are now called. Understanding the problem and agreeing with procedures are two different issues. Police thanks to the courts were given a task that should not be theirs to start with.

Well I read it. Just because some liberal judge made some ruling, does not mean that I have to call the cops. I would deal with my relative myself, or have someone he had a good relationship with to help me.

If the person happens to be under treatment, I might also talk to them for advice. How exactly do people think a cop is going to get some one to take their meds? Pull a gun and threaten them? Do a take down, and give them a shot? It’s just not an intelligent thing to do, and more often than not, in the case I know about, it ends badly.
