I hope you’re right about FSU. An UNDEFEATED season has to count or there is NO justice in the universe.
It was such an outlier that even WV was quiet about the win.
IMO, TCU and even Baylor played harder schedules than OSU and FSU.
Let's see Alabama, Oregon, TCU and Baylor duke it out.
The hypocrisy coming from EPSN and the NCAA is beyond belief.
I have to respectfully disagree with you. The strength (or lack of strength)of a losing opponent in a win is very important. That’s why Ohio State is where they are. The difficulty of a teams schedule is a substantial factor in determining which teams make the final four.
The AP poll is out, and the Top 6 are:
1. Alabama (27) 12-1 1,452
2. Florida St. (25) 13-0 1,436
3. Oregon (8) 12-1 1,426
4. Baylor 11-1 1,265
5. Ohio St. 12-1 1,262
6. TCU 11-1 1,257
Dropping TCU for humiliating Iowa State?
Whatever happened to “having to play the team you scheduled”?
That game was made a few years ago.
Can someone explain why this is slated for an hour and a half? Will the rankings be released at the end or in the beginning, and everyone remarks about it the rest of the time?
Lol.
Ohio State will one of the four. That lets those on the panel off the hook re: TCU and Baylor. And if you saw what Ohio State did to Wisconsin you might agree. That said, I am from Arlington, Tx and hope TCU is the fourth pick.
+1
Greed.
At one point, there were two 11-0 teams. One was #1. One was #19, ranked below 3 loss teams. Undefeated does count for something, but so does strength of schedule.
FSU has probably earned its place in the playoffs by going undefeated, but it is unfortunate that other, much more qualified teams are going to be excluded so that FSU can lose in the first round.
Then again, there will be controversy (intentionally) in any system until people realize that the concept of a “national champion” is nonsense when you have a field of 120ish and a 12 game season.
Makes sense to me — right now it is a bit of an emotional mess.
We all know that the SEC team will be winner when the dust settles.
Whoo Hoo!! Yes.
Number 4 is Ohio State.
TCU got screwed
Please tell me how TCU goes from 3 to 6 in 3 days after winning there game.
Somebody was going to be screwed no matter who they picked.
Here’s the problem for TCU and Baylor: the Big 12 does not have a conference championship game. tOSU jumped because they did win a conference championship game in a very convincing fashion.
Texas CHRISTIAN University? Can’t have that.
