While I'm not against saving money on needless items, what all these Grand Savers miss is the fact that it's nice to live life while you're living.
Forgoing certain daily pleasures for a deferred grand pleasure is sometimes necessary. But giving up all daily pleasures for the one big pleasure can have a deflating effect if The Big Pleasure turns out to be a dud.
