Just doesn't work for most people. You have to

1. Start from approximately the same place
2. Start at the same time
3. Go to the same place
4. Leave at the same time

In my entire career I have never found anyone else that met those criteria.

Cutting cable? Never had it

expensive coffee. Don't do that either.

Plus you have to like the other carpoolers. Imagine sitting in the car everyday with someone with an annoying laugh, or voice, or stories, or smell, or political affiliation, or....
