I think if we ever lose the courage to be able to speak up for the things that we believe in, I think we really lose the value that our country stands for.

I assume Bryant supports his teammates right not to wear the shirt based on his quote and will defend that player against any criticism.

That’s what I thought.... They can’t breath AND they can’t play basketball.

Sounds like ESPN is getting political. Didn’t they fire Rush Limbaugh because he was too political on a sports channel?

I wonder what would happen if someone wore a “Stop Abortion Now” shirt.

I guess they’ve determined that it’s worth losing about 40% of their customers.

Keith Olbermann is now under the employ of ESPN. Don’t forget Dana Jacobsen when she used a vulgarity against Jesus and was “suspended.” ESPN is a contributing factor in the dumbing down of America.

No, he made an innocuous comment about someone’s race. They were waiting for him to do anything so they could get rid of him.

Every player except backup center Robert Sacre wore the shirts.

Robert should've worn a t-shirt that said, "Bleu!"

Heh, heh. And then enjoyed the perplexed looks on his teammates' faces when they tried to figure it out.

And yes, they are.

I think it was select New England Patriots’ players who had players show up at a practice, just after Obama’s 2008 victory, with McCain being punched out by Obama in a boxing ring. Similar to many, I have issues with McCain especially as the nominee but imagine if white guys showed up to practice with Obama being knocked out in such a fashion.

Corporate America helps keep the NBA (and other professional sports) alive by buying box seats or season tickets, which are used for entertainment purposes. There is a tax write off.

What would happen if Congress eliminated tax write offs for sports events?

No, they fired him because he pointed out their political correctness cr@p way back then, and they didn't like it.

Why wouldn’t the Negro Basketall League help Obama sell carbon credits. The über wealthy will be trading them on the stock market and try to buy as many credits possible when they start deciding who can breathe or not.../s
