Having Heaven full of animals would not be a surprise.

After that hamburger or steak you had for dinner last week, do you think the steer that provided it will be happy to see you?........LOL!

I’ve never had the honor of having a dog, but I would say it’s heaven, so dogs and cats get along.

Florence King wrote a very interesting essay arguing that Richard Nixon's literary equivalent was Alceste from Le Misanthrope. Worth a read.

Me, I think that Schopenhauer was too optimistic.

Obscure pop music reference.

It's the oldest one in The Book.

Isaiah 65:25 is taking the idea out of its context.

Here is a larger sample:

22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them,
or plant and others eat.
For as the days of a tree,
so will be the days of my people;
my chosen ones will long enjoy
the work of their hands.
23 They will not labor in vain,
nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune;
for they will be a people blessed by the Lord,
they and their descendants with them.
24 Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox,
and dust will be the serpent’s food.
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.

...............................

As the earlier passages speak, we see mention of life on earth. Man’s length of life is compare to the life of a tree. Trees live long time in most cases, but they are not eternal.

People will enjoy the works of their hands. This looks like having satisfying and rewarding jobs.

There is mention of offspring from generation to generation. We know that in heaven there is neither marriage no given in marriage.

This chapter is speaking about the earthly reign of Jesus here on this Earth, and the benefits of the curse of sin being lifted to some degree because of our hearts being turned to Him.

Pope John Paul II held a similar position, saying animals had a “divine breath.”

Indeed they do, in spite of "dog breath" having a rather bad reputation.

AS for me, I refuse to go to a heaven where I will not be surrounded by my pets who've gone before. Period.

Animals did not and cannot sin, therefore have no need of salvation.

That could very well be, it is a little deep for me.
