Last week's passing of the lovely Republican actress and former Miss America Mary Ann Mobley provides the inspiration for today's feature. It's the 2nd of her two films with Elvis Presley and the one where she has the huger role. Miss Mobley plays a beautiful Near Eastern princess who falls in love with an American movie star/rock and roll singer(played by Guess Who?) in this goofy and fun 1001 Nights tale spoof.

Sorry, despised Elvis Presley movies.

All of Elvis’s movies made money, but so what? The start of his movie career basically marked the end of his career as a real rocker. Crap movies and crap music after he came out of the army.

Suspicious Minds was an awesome song.

Not the worst song and not a bad job by Elvis on a mediocre pop song. But you’re missing the point...this was mainstream pop Elvis and not rocker Elvis. Rocker Elvis was the only Elvis I liked.

No problem. I posted it in honor of Mary Ann(RIP) and since most of her acting work was in television I didn’t have as many movie options for her.
