Even Jane Fonda needs a reminder of her fabulousness. At 77, the actress is building a “shrine” to herself that she hopes will boost her recently faltering confidence. “I’ve found myself backsliding a bit of late in terms of where my thoughts have tended to reside (not always with the generosity of vision I wish for) and my confidence has been iffy for the past four months,” the stunning star wrote in a blog post Sunday, her 77th birthday. “So, while meditating today an idea came to me: I’m going to create a shrine to myself – or, at least, the self I wish to be, the self who began to manifest when I was a young girl before the s–t hit the fan,” she continued. The “shrine” will be a small place filled with items that remind Fonda of “the qualities that represent my best self.” So far, she plans to include a school report from the fourth grade. She’ll spend the new year collecting objects and symbols that “remind me that I’m brave.” “I’ve been forgetting that,” she revealed.

While in the base exchange my daughter and I were in the plumbing section. I pointed out a toilet seat and said, “Oh look. A picture frame for Jane Fonda!”
My daughter (age 7) was confused. An older gentleman nearby said, “You got that right!”
And I did educate my daughter on the hag.

Won’t have to be very big to fit all that in it.
I despise that festering sump of human waste more now than I did in 1972. It didn’t fade with time. A Shrine To Me is so perfectly in character that it defies parody.
I bet drawing that guard is for punishment if they screwed up something important.
That pickled corpse should have been dumped with garbage at sea.
I would prefer to think of it as a mausoleum.
I can’t see spending any time or money to see it.
If there isn’t one of those porn parodies of that flick, it isn’t worth remaking.

I remember listening to an interview where she said she maintained her weight while she owned her exercise studio and became an exercise guru to Americans by being bulimic!!!
All the while dumping Americans into thinking she was exercising to lose the weight.
She looks great now and has her weight in check. But I have got to believe she is still bulimic. Her old trick.
Somehow, I don't think there will be much in the shrine. She could probably put it all in a shoe box.
LOL.
That guy on the left I think was in Vietnam.
She wants to go back to when she was young, before she forsake her country and posed with the enemy in order to show support for the communists, branding her forever as the Girl Who Got Away With Treason.
