We have heard a lot lately about tensions between the police and the communities that they serve, and the urgent need to reduce them. Here’s an easy first step: Stop lying about the cops. The “national conversation” about race and policing we’ve been having ever since Michael Brown was shot by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Mo., last summer has been based on lies. The lie that Officer Wilson shot Brown while he had his hands up and was pleading “Don’t shoot.” The lie that New York City policemen targeted Eric Garner for a violent arrest because he was black.

I had no idea DeBlasio said that. I'm trying to confirm, but if true - whoooa! THIS guy DeBlasio is the one who MADE the cops bust Eric Garner, HE is the one who demanded illegal cigarettes sales be stopped and he has the gall to call the cops racist for doing what HE told them to do?? Oh my God this dude is the absolute a-hole of the century!
No sympathy for the cop haters whatsoever.
But I do notice an inordinate number of them are possessed with handing out speeding tickets and parking at the bottom of a hill with a radar gun.
Right. And you have to dig deep to come up with that nugget. Why haven't the MSM reported it? Lots of questions no answers from the media.
That’s because liberals demand cops act as revenue collectors. Here in New york city it’s insane, they got cops out 2am walking up and down the street checking inspection stickers on parked cars. They had one cop a few years ago, 17 years on the job and he was so overcome with ticket quotas he started writing out fake tickets and he ended up getting fired. 17 years on the job and they’re demanding he write 300 tickets a month, absolutely outrageous.
He was only expressing his true beliefs. Which demonstrates what a fatuous jackass he truly is.
He is in charge of the cops, that’s what makes this so incredibly outrageous. It’s his police force, HE determines what they focus on, what he wants done, and he throws them under the bus like this? Just absolutely unreal, probably one of the most outrageous cowardly acts of backstabbing I’ve ever seen in my life. Him and the city council demanding months before Garner was killed that they wanted cops to up the enforcement on illegal cigarette sales, I remember reading about that clear as day and incredibly when Garner was killed, the city council took to the STREETS TO PROTEST! That just blows my mind! Look at this, can you believe the gall of these people??

Things like this could turn DeBlasio into a one-term mayor at the rate he’s going.

It would be interesting to see what happens in a city that size when the citizens don't have guns, the police are defanged or disinterested, and the thugs are armed to the teeth. Sounds like nirvana to me.
In IL a new 2015 law is cops have no ticket quotas. My question is has anyone ever seen a judge find someone innocent of a minor traffic ticket?
I have to say, at least 90+% of police officers, Sheriff’s deputies and other LEO are not only outstanding in their jobs, but oh so professional in their conduct.

Agreed. And it’s precisely the way the libs divide and conquer any segment of the population. A purposeful attempt to turn those who would logically support the police against the police. Libs do it all the time. For example, they pit the hunters against the sport shooters in the gun debate, even segmenting out the shotgunners from the other hunters. They carve out the modern “artists” and “educators” and “journalists” from anyone else with whom they disagree with respect to freedom of expression.
Once everyone is broken into little groups, they can really isolate their detractors and start infringing on one little freedom after another until they have total control. It’s disgusting, really.

Yes. Many years ago in Dayton, Ohio I watched a guy annihilate a poor cop in court. He had received a ticket for speeding on Wayne Ave. I forget the numbers. He showed up in court with at least 50 photos he had taken of that stretch of road proving there were zero speed limit signs showing the speed limit had dropped by 5MPH or so.
Yep. Judge dismissed the ticket.
