I think it is more important to examine the axiom of “tensions between the police and the communities that they serve.”

False even on its surface, the majority of people in “the community” strongly support the police. So it is a minority (not ethnic minority exclusively) of people that have ‘tension’ with the police. Who are they?

Start with “the criminals”, and their supportive families.

As has quickly become obvious in these protests, it is less about honest black people being killed by the police, than it is about violent and dangerous black people being killed, often when robbing or trying to kill someone else.

A large number of these protesters are demanding the right for *them* (or their family members) to rob and kill, but to not be killed themselves while doing so, or sent to prison after.

Perhaps this is thinking that they have ‘black privilege’, a right to violate the social contract, and to abuse and even kill others without retribution. A “Never Go To Jail” card. Why? “Because we are victims”, they would say.

It is also obvious that the overwhelming majority do not support this idea of privilege.

The lie is counter-arguement,
in an attempt to hide/cover/deflect the staggering number of crimes
committed by the race/gender/age of those that cops are FORCED to shoot in self defense.
No one is fooled by this, just that the left needs to
1. deflect blame from part of their core constituency, and
2.vilify any 'historically' white male organization.

(I'm sure you know this already as we all do,
just hoping some trolling leftards read this...)

That’s because liberals demand cops act as revenue collectors.

They're collecting tax revenue??

Those poor cops...They should refuse their bloated tax paid pensions and all those top shelf tax paid government benefits.

Teach their government bosses a lesson...

THIS guy DeBlasio is the one who MADE the cops bust Eric Garner, HE is the one who demanded illegal cigarettes sales be stopped and he has the gall to call the cops racist for doing what HE told them to do??

"Illegal cigarette sales" was just the "hook" that the NYPD droogs used to put the arm on Garner. We never actually SAW the "loosies".

It's kind of like that woman in New Jersey who made a fake cell call to Santa when her children were acting up in the car. A local Blue Revenooer was hiding behind a church, and pulled her over. She finally managed to convince the original Revenooer that she hadn't really been on the cell, when ANOTHER Blue Revenooer showed up, and discovered that !!HORRORS!! - she'd missed a NJ State revenue collection scheme car inspection! This Revenooer wanted to tow the peasant wench's car, but the original Revenooer managed to talk young Cartman down to nicking the wench for $145, and the family dog didn't get shot.

All they need is a "hook"...

Oh my God this dude is the absolute a-hole of the century!

Well, I won't argue with you there.

I had no idea DeBlasio said that. I'm trying to confirm, but if true - whoooa!

I have to say, at least 90+% of police officers, Sheriff’s deputies and other LEO are not only outstanding in their jobs, but oh so professional in their conduct. That other 1 - 10% though, sure make it hard for the others.

Reading into the sordid tale of Adrian Schoolcraft confirms your post. Not sure I'd go with 90%, but 70-80% might be more accurate. After all, I didn't get clubbed down for challenging an officer a couple of months ago - just got an "interfering with a police investigation" warning. I stayed and continued to watch, silently, though. :)

"Agreed. And it’s precisely the way the libs divide and conquer any segment of the population. A purposeful attempt to turn those who would logically support the police against the police. Libs do it all the time. For example, they pit the hunters against the sport shooters in the gun debate, even segmenting out the shotgunners from the other hunters. They carve out the modern “artists” and “educators” and “journalists” from anyone else with whom they disagree with respect to freedom of expression. Once everyone is broken into little groups, they can really isolate their detractors and start infringing on one little freedom after another until they have total control. It’s disgusting, really."

Excellent point.

Pitting any group against another group creates "social justice problems" that (presumably) can only be solved by more laws and public spending.

The voices of reason and logic (e.g. Thomas Sowell) aren't heard over the noise of "victimized" low information voter groups.

Any group that can be considered a minority in some obscure way is fair game to isolate and "protect."

I don’t mind that as much as the fact that they usually exceed the posted safe speed limit while on or off duty but don’t have to pay the fines.

It was about 0.75 miles to get off the Cross Bronx and back onto the surface. We took a taxi back into Midtown where it was safe(er). Even then midtown was a dystopic mess too. It was bad then and it is better now, but not for long. The dystopia that is the liberal utopia is not a place that normal people want to inhabit.

.... cops have no ticket quotas
****************
YEAH RIGHT! ... you can pass any law you want ... they don’t have “quota’s” but they sure as hell have “goals and objectives” for their performance reviews that if not met have them working the night shift in the bad part of town...

With all the Rhinos still left in Congress .. trying to do Impeachment is a non-starter.

Besides. Obama will be out of office before these people could get their act together and get it done.

Also, when are “we the people” going to DEMAND THAT ALL PERKS FOR THE CONGRESS S T O P ..?????????????????

These people have become a bunch of preening snobs who consider “we the people” as their servants .. when it’s actually the other way around.

Tell me about it, I also wouldn’t mind a constitutional amendment that requires all members of Congress to submit to random drug testing. If someone like Nancy Pelosi is sober my name is Santa Claus.
