One of the things I liked best about Reagan was his sense of humor. Today's politicians are way too serious. He poked as much fun at himself as he did others, and never got butt-hurt when someone criticized or made fun of him. I decided to put together this video (in his honor) to capture some of his finest moments. The 3 legged chicken is a classic.
One can’t help but notice how intimate and part of the crowed he sounds as he tells his jokes and anecdotes which always have him learning something from someone.
If you look at his life, even back in his teens, he was so good, at so much, he was one of those guys that could do everything and master it, a famously good lifeguard, he played college football, captain of the swim team, got a degree in economics, was the class president and so on, 5 years as a Cavalryman, Hollywood star, multiple terms as the union leader of the Hollywood giants, a whole lifetime of that kind of being special and up front and excelling, and good at it all, yet listen to how humble and regular he sounds when he speaks, it is never about him.

Ronald Reagan was a brief respite from the long slide that began with Woodrow Wilson, sped up with FDR and really accelerated in the 1960's.
Agreed. It's been a century by that timeline.
It just took us until 2008 to go over the precipice; we're currently bouncing down the canyon walls before the crash at the bottom.
