That was Hillary Swank in Million Dollar Baby.

Angelina was in “Changeling” directed by Clint. It was true story about a missing boy and serial murder in California. Great movie.

I saw the musical on Broadway with the original cast. It was so good. I loved Gleason’s performance and Bernadette Peter’s perfomance as the wiych. The musical was funny and moving...one of my favorites.~

Oh so lucky to have seen it on BWY. Glad at least one other FReeper finds it funny. Will you see the movie?

When the studios, producers and directors that cast Streep so often quit casting Streep, I might go so some of their movies.

I just finished the book, "Unbroken" on Christmas Day. Absolutely best page-turner book I have read in years. Read it in just a few days. It must be popular, because it was the first book I've checked out at the library in three years that I had to go on a waiting list for.

My wife and I talked about the book at Christmas dinner. We agreed that it should be required reading by all high school students. It might give them a sense of the hardships that others before us had to go through to keep us free and to preserve the liberties we enjoy that many people take for granted.

It was even hard for me to imagine how this brave man, Louie Zamperini, persisted and endured through so many hardships and still survived. He had his dark times when he returned from the war, including becoming a heavy drinker, but found peace again when he accepted Jesus as his savior through Billy Graham revivals. He had outlived his entire family, including his wife, when he finally passed away in his 90's this past summer. I can't wait to see the movie.

If you ever think you're having an especially bad day, read this book and you will instead count your blessings at how well things are going in your life. Seriously.

I saw that production on PBS. Bernadette Peters is amazing in everything! I probably won’t get to the theater for the new movie, but I’ll request the DVD from Netflix.

I just received it from wifey for Christmas and have barely gotten into it....at this point in my reading, he's still a mischievous thieving laddy!

Zamperini was scheduled to be the Grand Marshal for next week’s Rose Parade....very sorry he didn’t quite make it; the applause would have been something to see.

There is some speculation in the book that, his juvenile delinquent days in his youth, hard wired him to think he could do anything he wanted. His bother channeled his energy into running and he became a record-breaking runner and went to the Olympics. These traits stood him well in his efforts to survive and endure his inhumane torture and hardships later on.

Enjoy the book.

Why are we commenting about everything else but the movie, Unboken?

Why are we commenting about everything else but the movie Unbroken/

Because we're comparing it to other movies that one can choose to see in the theaters over the holidays.

I say, go see the other movies. This one has so many holes that it resembles the results of the Zero gunfire on Zamperini’s B-24 Liberator.

"And the idiotic movie I endured for two hours, like a bad “Interview”, is doing only $1 millionish so far."

WHICH movie?

‘Into the Woods’ is one of the best live action movie musicals in years. It deserves an audience.
