18 degrees? I’ll bet it’s quite a bit lower than that with a chance for wind, snow or both.

Still, it will be a good game. A bye once hurt Green Bay in the past and Dallas did defeat a good game.

But when Aaron Rodgers is on, Green Bay can defeat about anyone except Seattle.

And the way the Panthers are playing, I don’t know, I’d like to see them win, I don’t know if they have a chance vs. Seattle.

I like CAR but they have to play my team (30-year Seahawks fan here). I like BALT too, esp. since they wiped out a league bully (PGH) yesterday.

Netural on INDY - they haven't won the big dance enough to be considered a "bully" yet (like the 'Hawks) but have been there and are kind of a blah vanilla team to watch for a casual observer (my opinion).

No PATS, DAL, GM, DEN. Sick of all of these teams... New blood, please...

Also excited for CLE next year...

I’m calling it. Baltimore beats New England and goes on to win the AFC.

I was prepared to lose this game and I am very happy my team won. I going to ignore your foolish tin-foil comments but when you keep sticking your rather large a-hole out there over and over again, I just cannot help but kick it--

Enjoy your drivel because you will never ever get another answering comment from me as you have made the A-Team of FR A-holes. I have reached the age where I do not have to suffer fools like you.

So go ahead and rant, rant, rant your steaming piles of manure-- The smell can be tolerated but I don't have to clean it up.

Very small minded folk like you cannot stand to be ignored--

“Hah! They’re talking about the PI pick-up... No one has “any idea” why it was done. I do: Money... The league earns more money if Dallas advances... They wanted to make DAMN SURE that A) Detroit didn’t score any insurance points; and B) That Dallas DID score the go-ahead, to which end they gave the ‘Boys multiple free first downs in the red zone to make DAMN SURE the predictable outcome (i.e. the team that’s been there gets there again against the team that’s never been there) occurred.”

I don’t care about either team, but the fix was really in on this one! I have never in 50 years of watching football ever seen a flag picked up after the referee has announced the penalty. Ever! That Dean Blandino, head of NFL refs, must have got word to Morelli to pick up the flag. There is no other explanation. Morelli is the head ref on the field and he had already announced the penalty! What a disgrace for the NFL!

Struck a nerve, it seems.

Your team has been there. The PI mishap is all over the place (except on official NFL sites). The whole world saw what happened.

Your team, if they somehow squeek past GB, loses to the Seahawks in two weeks. You will feel what other fans in places like Jacksonville, Carolina, Cleveland, Detroit, and elsewhere have felt for decades. Neither your team, nor the 49ers nor the Packers nor the Broncos nor the Patriots are entitled to a SB each year...

Bull-hockey! I’m a Bears fan watching the game at a house full of Cowboys fans and the Detroit receiver jerked on the Dallas secondary’s face mask during the late play where the flag was picked up, and where there was neither an offensive pass interference penalty called, or... a defensive interference penalty call. It works both ways.

I am for getting the refs out of the game as much as possible. Bring back smash-mouth football.

Remedy: softer helmets. Ones that absorb the shock. Dentable/shock absorbable and perhaps only good for a blow or two, or a game or two.

I’m a parachute rigger and gear that is used in an emergency deployment is then considered unairworthy and is taken out of service. Helmets could follow this protocol. Then- smash mouth football can resume without the meddling/interference of referees.

Everyone sees it. The only outlets not discussing it are those controlled by the NFL...

What I saw was a lot of hand play between both receiver and defender.

The refs were right. And I say that as a Lions fan. If the flag wasn’t thrown in the first place, nobody would have said a thing.

You and “crazy genius” Bill Simpson think alike.
If you’re not familiar with the name, he pioneered a lot of the safety advances in auto racing for flame resistant suits and better helmets.

The Lions receiver grabbed the face mask of the Dallas defender prior to the flag drop. Thanks be to replay. Somebody up top reversed the call upon review. Do your homework and hit the rewind button.

Check out the conversation at ESPN:

The league has been doing this for the Cowboys off and on since the late '70s. I remember how even Houstonians would root for the Cowboys - another city's team - even though they had their own. That's the genesis for my hatred for this team.

The Cowboys are one of the potential suitors for Suh should he become a Free Agent, he would be the one missing piece the Cowboys need, a legitimate pass rusher

His presence as a club house cancer and a distraction will do more harm than good. DAL can have him all I care, I am a Saints fan.
