Hey, if the dog doesn’t mind....
True, but I don’t think Trig was stepping on “a dog” per se - he was just doing what he does with HIS dog, his special companion.
“THE DOG IS A SERVICE DOG SPECIALLY TRAINED FOR CHILDREN LIKE TRIG......”
This completely finishes off the futile conversation on this thread!
Can you go back to the drawing board and rethink that response?
Because it was inane.
You need to go look at the history of the posts. You are uneducated to the whole flow of the conversation.
Also, how stupid do we look (no different than PETA in this situation) when we do not act as responsible ADULTS in conversation, but rather run to our corners to defend someone on a political basis rather than a civil/societal basis.
I am not up to anything. I clearly stated that I have no problem with this situation.
But, as people, parents, we can have an honest discussion about training children to be smart about how they interact with the world outside of their homes.
That is not political. Attacking me for saying it because this is Palin, that is political. And silly.
You really have the wrong idea. Get off of your ideology train. You seriously have a bug up your behind and need to go walk it off.
Poor Eddie still feeling butt hurt after two days...LOL. Of all the people on this thread I have real experience. I was the oldest of five child in a working class family. We had an amazing 80 pound male black lab who was a fierce protector of me and my siblings. One of my brothers was born deaf and autistic..handicaps worse then Trigs... and the dog was especially protective of him. In those days it wasn’t called a service dog...or personal trainer dog. He was a valued member, loyal to the death protecter of the family. Even though my Mom was lenient none of us even my handicapped brother would ever be allowed to stand on him. Respect and common sense. Values that some will toss in their cult of Sarah
I think irrational fear would be saying that a child should never be around a dog. I don’t think the belief that a child should be taught to not stand on a dog because not all dogs are the same is an example of irrational fear.
If a small child goes on a boat or a long pier, it’s not irrational fear to think the child should have had some swimming lessons or at least to have a life jacket on.
I think that is being proactive and responsible.
I think that having the belief that voicing anything that isn’t 100% supportive of Sarah Palin means that the person is evil, attacking and hates Sarah Palin— that is irrational.
Actually, I think you a liberal. Liberals attack personally when they aren’t winning a conversation.
Conservatives, on the other hand, recognize it is the parents’ responsibility to raise a child in the way that they should go, respect boundaries, and property.
