Thanks for the ping Joe. I saw this thread earlier today and decided not to say anything at the time, but I certainly don’t approve of allowing a 6 year old to stand on the back of a dog. Trig’s quite sturdy looking and the dog’s spine or internal organs could be injured.

Thanks for the ping, Joe.

I’m jumping in here a bit late, but my first thought is, the dog looks happy, Trig (I think that’s his name) is small; if the dog didn’t like it, he wouldn’t let the boy stand on his back. Or her back. :)

I’ve rubbed my dog with my foot a lot; she loves it. However, if I stood on her, well, I couldn’t. Not at all. She would never let me do it if I even tried. Something tells me the dog and Trig have a special relationship and the dog accepts things from the boy that it wouldn’t accept from anyone else.
