Do you typically assume obvious solutions to a problem as being “liberal” rather than “conservative”?

On FR, there are more closet libs than let on. Thought you sounded like you may be one. Still do.

Problem: A special needs child wants to help his mother wash dishes. He attempts to communicate this desire to his mother, but she does not respond as the child wishes.

Not a problem of the magnitude you make it.

Dilemma: Child, apparently not understanding that living beings are not to be used as stepping stools, steps on a dog’s back, risking injury to the child should the dog move, tired of being used as a surrogate stepping stool. (Has it occurred to you that had this happened, her family could be the subject of investigation by various government agencies?)

Never was a dilemma. Injury never occurred to anyone. All in people's fearful imaginations. Palin is constantly watched by "various government agencies". (You sound still like a left-leaning one.)

Solution: Pick up a (or relocate an existing) stepping stool to be used at the sink. Most families have at least one in the house; some have one for each sink.

Not YOUR Down Syndrome child, dog, sink, kitchen, worry. It's the Palins' concern and nothing like you fear happened.

Talk with child about how to appropriately act around dogs to avoid being bitten and/or suffer another injury.

...To a child YOU are responsible for worrying about.

Amazing, a solution that doesn’t require drama or government intervention. Still having difficulty fathoming what makes that “liberal” in the modern sense of the word.

Lots of pretend conservatives on FR are closet libs and know it. Some don't. Don't know you Altariel. But I've lived long enought to recognize the pattern and wording of some of your sentences. You see, I too have been educated.

You have not established how the problem (that is, the child’s objective) the dilemma (the situation that occurred and its risks) or the obvious solution (how a responsible parent prevents a situation from reoccurring in the future) are “liberal”. However, you have used that moniker on several occasions now.

Please explain how any of the above are “liberal” and not “conservative”.

It seems your concern over discussing another person’s child stems from the child being a member of a family of the political class. Or are you on record on FR as being against discussing another individual’s child for any reason, regardless of family background or prestige?
