Let’s tell the truth. The guy’s a miser. I pity his poor wife. I would hate to see the condition of his underwear.
Now there's probably some truth to this one but I don't think we are getting the complete story. Maybe he used this car just to get to work and back and has another vehicle for everything else. Maybe his job is a half mile down the road. We just don't know.
Nice story but lacking in a lot of facts.
My brother his 57, and still has some T-shirts he had in high school.
true ... but I admire him. A dose of miserliness can certainly help one save for retirement
several layers of duct tape holding threads together. good as new. /s
I consider a decent car something of a necessity. Even when I was a single gal of 20 I purchased a car that was nice and would never leave me on the side of the road.
They are probably held together by duct tape and bondo as well...

Sorry but I draw the line on underwear, it has to be able to stay up...once the waistband goes... They go...
A car is a depreciating asset. If he uses this just for transportation going to and from his job, why spend good money on a newer vehicle. Look at all the money's he's saved over the years that other people have pissed down a rathole. And it being in Minnesota, the salt on the road in the winter would destroy a new vehicle with rust in no time. This guy's not a miser. He's smart.
I have 2, a 65 Chevy pickup with 1,365,000 miles on it and a 1936 chevrolet coupe and I have no intention of changing.
