doggie and kitty ping.
Well of course. Canibabilistic diets will make anyone sick.
Why are people still buying Chinese poisons to feed their pets? There’s no shortage of pet foods and treats made in the USA.
I make my own treats.
Dried sweet potatoes are a favorite.
I bought a remote controlled mouse filled with catnip. She started sneezing right away. Cost a fortune to get her well.
BA
PetSmart, if you are smart you will follow in their footsteps.
cat developed a cough type thing a few years back...Cut one of those mouse things in 1/2 and it was filled with an asbestos like substance.Threw them out no more cough, took one to the local small pet store and showed the guy,got a ho hum back from him.
Nothing from China in my mouth ever and the cats for 2 years now.
Only toy mice that are hollow and rattle
I guess the cat treats must be contaminated. What was wrong with the Chinese-made dogs though?
ONLY by USA made treats for your pet.
They deserve it.
Well good news about PetSmart because we buy our dry dog food there but every bag of treats on the treat Aisle is made in china so we don’t every buy any treats there.
Anyone that cares about their health would not eat anything packaged in China. Been there, seen that.
Smart move. ANYTHING made in China is garbage. Product liability insurers in the West, and in the U.S. partyicularly are taking a huge hit if their insureds distribute any Chinese products (or if they are insane enough to underwrite a Chinese manufacturer directly). And, in the case of distributors, good luck going after the Chinese manufacturers or producers for ultimate indemnification or contribution.
The term “Chinese junk” was aptly applied to their native watercraft...and everything else coming out of that
sh!thole. They reverse-engineer everything, cut corners, and substitute their cheap components for the more stable Western-designed and manufactured ones.
Walmart survives because it has very good risk transfer agreements with its distributors. In other words, Walmart has contracts that pass all liabilities off on to their distributors, who eagerly sign those contracts because of the volume Walmart deals in. And those distributors are often subsidiaries of Western holding companies that tell their own insurers that if they want to underwrite the good Western business they also have to underwrite the shit Chinese stuff. That worked for awhile, when the insurers could make some money on the cash flow through investments, but those days are over, and the insurers are taking a bath on the Chinese crap.
I know of what I speak, because I deal with this every day.
This past Christmas I bought a bunch of wrapping paper and gift bags from the 99 Cent store in my area and to my shock I looked at the candy canes and chocolate Santas on their shelves and they were made mostly in China and Mexico. Wherever I buy food I always check the labels to see where it was made and packaged and if it’s from China or some other Asian or Latin American country I won’t buy it.
That was pretty rotten of Petco, pretending to trust Chinese food for dogs.
Since 2007? That’s EIGHT years ago. Couldn’t they have removed them sooner than this? Some of that stuff smells horrid. (I have a friend who used to dump all her unliked pet treats on me. I’d keep them a while and then dump them in the garbage.) My dog preferred human treats. Just plain, old bread and cheese.
Aren’t Chinese dog and cat treats SUPPOSED to be made of dogs and cats? Yummy!
I thought this had already been done?
I’m careful about my pets’ food, all of it made in the USA.
My sister lost her precious dog “Kirby” from tainted pet food (what her vet told her) - his kidneys failed and the vet said he’d seen several dogs in the area in the same predicament.
Weren’t the Chinese also caught selling tainted baby formula??
I buy bully sticks for my dog but they are so expensive!
ABOUT FRICKING TIME!
WHAT BRANDS??? I have read 6 articles with no citations.
