Al Jazeera America’s inevitable collapse has begun with the elimination of all of its morning programming. Instead of producing its own programming, the basement-rated cable news network will simply re-broadcast Al Jazeera programs from its parent studio in Qatar. Also canceled is the late morning program, “Consider This With Antonio Mora.”
Mediabistro reports that behind-the-scenes staffers will be reassigned and “the fate of on-air talent is unclear.” Variety, however, reports that primetime anchors Ali Velshi and Joie Chen will have less airtime and mid-to-late afternoon programming is also on the chopping block.

Who says this wasn’t the plan all along?
That is, from the start they wanted to bring in a Muslim propaganda channel that broadcasts directly from the ME, but that would look too blatant; so they set up “Al-Jazeera America” to make it LOOK like home-grown, re-assuring American programming, not that radical Arab stuff, to calm regulators and the public.
Then, a few years down the road, the old “well we’re facing financial struggles, so to save money we’ll just have to cut down on the American production and use more of our international feed”.
Voila, a ME-based propaganda channel instantly & quietly slips directly into American homes, who thought they had signed up for domestic programming.
What is it about the name “Al?” Al Gore, Al Sharpton, Al Jazeera, Al Qeada....

Did Al ever get his escrow money. Last I heard, Al Jazeera had not released it and Al was going to take them to court.
