Report: Broncos let entire coaching staff go
NBC Sports ^ | 01/12/15 | Mike Florio

Well, that escalated quickly.

According to Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 in Denver, the “mutual parting” between the Broncos and coach John Fox has been chased by the release of the entire coaching staff.

It was believed that defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio was in trouble. Instead, everyone is gone.

That includes offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who currently is under consideration for multiple head-coaching jobs elsewhere. So if the Broncos, who know Gase better than anyone, have just fired him, why would anyone else hire him to be the head coach?

Jeez!...I guess John Elway doesn't want any reminders.

I wonder if Elway knows Payton is finished. The Broncos have something like 17 free agents and a team that was designed to win this year. So maybe just the tear everything down and rebuild.

They had a pitiful gameplan against the Colts and you can’t “wait till next year”. It was “now, or never”. They have numerous free agents they won’t be able to afford and medicare will no longer pay for Peyton Manning’s walker to help him move around in the backfield.

Maybe so. Yes I would have taken Peyton over Tebow, but still there is something creepy about the way Elway dismissed Tebow after a playoff season.

Payten looked terrible, he should retire as that was his last chance for a ring.

Del Rio was a huge bust here in long-suffering Jacksonville.

The entire family was amazed when he landed the spot at Denver.

Yep. He didn't play well for the last handful of games. He looked hurt - no arm strength.

Manning at his best was amazing - watching him audible plays at the line was like watching an orchestra conductor. I hope he does retire and go out on top (more or less). It's hard to watch a past-their-prime superstar hang on for too long.

Not sure, exactly, what Elway is doing here. Fox is a good coach. Their D-Coordinator is excellent, and might wind up as a head coach. Strange for a good NFL team to just say "Screw It, we're rebuilding for the next 3 years."

Before the game, a few of the Bronco’s defensive players were interviewed, and they casually stated that they were good
enough to win the game on their own. But during the game, I noticed that whenever Luck geared up to throw a pass, his receiver was all alone—achieved separation—as the new description has it, except for three consecutive plays toward the end. On the other hand, the Bronco receiver was never alone, or either dropped the ball.

You could have at least used a pic of him in Denver colors. Us Panthers fans were SO glad to see him go. Great guy. Good team builder. Sucked at the strategy. We were amazed when Elway hired him. The only reason he had any success there was because Manning pretty much ran the offense. It extended Fox’s career by about three years.

I heard on ESPN that Manning has been playing with a torn quad for the last part of the season. Just walking would be painful. Elway seems to be having a bit of a tantrum.

Coach John Fox and Elway decided to part ways, it was billed as a mutual decision. The rest of the Bronco coaching staff, although still under contract, were given permission to interview with other teams if they were contacted about a position opening. That's the understanding I have and I'm a long time Bronco season ticket holder who attended the Bronco/Colts game on Sunday.
Not part of the Bronco organization but I'm more than casually interested in ongoing developments with the team.

Personally, I think this is what should have happened with the Saints.

I mean, you are a Superbowl winning coach, and you and your talent evaluators let the team degenerate to a point where it is struggling to win against Tampa?

It looks like some teams are more serious about winning than others looking at this Broncos firings.

So yeah, makes me wonder about the future of their QB at this point too.

“Del Rio was a huge bust here in long-suffering Jacksonville.”

Yep, he was definitely over his head, and yes I was one who was screaming to get rid of Coughlin............shows ya what I know.

Everyone gets fired sooner or later. It's the NFL.

Maybe Peyton needs to get into coaching. There’s an opening and he’s familiar with the offense...

Actually, I can’t see him as a coach. He’ll get paid more if he went right into the CBS or FOX Studio and then perhaps, a team ownership down the line.

I hope he does a Brett Favre and chases a ring. Maybe the Jets are next followed by Houston. HA!
