The upcoming front cover for the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo will picture the prophet Muhammad holding a sign that says "Je suis Charlie."
While many in a (let's say hypothetical) march would personally like one expression of free speech, but not necessarily the other, should there be marches supporting free speech for both Charlie Hebdo - and let's say works like Serrano did ("The Piss Christ") and not getting mad at either of the depictions?
In other words, temporarily suspending all dislike for either in the name of free speech in this march, as some in the media do support Charlie Hebdo's right to publish what they will, but don't believe that it follows the rule of while you can, should you?
One thing is that Charlie Hebdo takes no prisoners. They are an equal opportunity offender...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon on Friday confirmed for the first time that a U.S. soldier deliberately kicked a Guantanamo Bay prisoner’s Muslim holy book in violation of the military’s rules for handling the Quran.
In other confirmed incidents, prison guards threw water balloons in a cell block, causing an unspecified number of Qurans to get wet; a guard’s urine splashed on a detainee and his Quran; an interrogator stepped on a Quran during an interrogation; and a two-word obscenity was written in English on the inside cover of a Quran.
The findings are among the results of an investigation last month by Brig. Gen. Jay Hood, the commander of the detention center in Cuba, that was triggered by a Newsweek magazine report - later retracted - that a U.S. soldier had flushed one Guantanamo Bay detainee’s Quran down a toilet.
The story stirred worldwide controversy and the Bush administration blamed it for deadly demonstrations in Afghanistan.

May 23 issue - Did a report in NEWSWEEK set off a wave of deadly anti-American riots in Afghanistan? That’s what numerous news accounts suggested last week as angry Afghans took to the streets to protest reports, linked to us, that U.S. interrogators had desecrated the Qur’an while interrogating Muslim terror suspects. We were as alarmed as anyone to hear of the violence, which left at least 15 Afghans dead and scores injured. But I think it’s important for the public to know exactly what we reported, why, and how subsequent events unfolded...
I don’t recall anyone at Time-Lies-Warner-Turner or Larry David being killed when he p!ssed all over a portrait of Jesus Christ in “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.

In a statement to Foxnews.com, HBO downplayed the controversy.
“Anyone who follows Curb Your Enthusiasm knows that the show is full of parody and satire,” the statement read. “Larry David makes fun of everyone, most especially himself. The humor is always playful and certainly never malicious.”
Some countries (aren’t Canada and the EUSSR among them?) are looking at adopting “blasphemy” laws to protect Islam’s sacred cows (including challenging the beliefs).
What good will that do? There is only one group that is killing people over this stuff, and they aren’t going to pay attention to any marches.

It was offensive because taxpayer monies, Christian monies, were used to pay for it. Want to make something offensive? Pay for it yourself. When taxpayers monies are used for art the art must represent all that were taxed to pay for it.
Only people that don’t really believe their “god” can take care of himself would be so adamant about defending his dignity. This is the link between islam and liberalism - their adherents must shout down opposition because there is no defensible truth behind them. Most will not realize their folly until they come face to face with the real God.
The better question is, will those who kill over a perceived slight to their god end up being tolerant even of a “Piss Mohammed” display without the need to spill blood over it...
Believe what you will, but Muslims believe that the entire world will be Muslim some day, that be through force, matters not to them!!
Islam is a governing mechanism, with a splash of religion thrown in for good measure. It is the world’s largest CULT!
I know Muslims, I have friends who are Muslim and they tell me they are afraid of the “lunatic, radical left” within their “religion” because they know what the ultimate goal is for the cult.
I believe Christians can and DO already participate in marches for free speech, even for those whom they disagree. But Muslims? No, never, period.

Timothy McVeigh didn’t kill in the name and honor of Christ! He killed because he was pissed off at the government and felt like he could start a great revolution against the Federal Government.
