We never expected to know this much about Naya Rivera's hygiene habits.
The 28-year-old Glee star, who celebrated her birthday on Monday, was a guest host on The View this morning where the songstress shared a rather, um, interesting theory about showering.
After moderator Nicolle Wallace defended the fact that she showers three times a day (pre- and post-show, plus once before bed), the Fox beauty chimed in with a headline-making hypothesis.
"I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnic," Rivera said as Wallace couldn't help but burst out into a fit of giggles. "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."

There is a lot of truth into what she said. While I was in the USAF and living in the barracks, the blacks robbed and pilfered from the white airmen while the whites were in the shower. It got so bad that we only showered when the blacks were at work or gone from the barracks. Because of affirmative action and the cowardliness of the superiors, the blacks were rarely prosecuted.

Yea, that would be my observation just from walking around in the city.
In this case, the general statement about white people is a positive one. Kind of like saying, “Working hard, paying taxes and obeying the law is such a white people thing!”
While I am sure she did not mean it that way, her comment was really an insult to non-white people.
I think this has to do with some early Civil Rights Laws that were intended to ensure that The Blind had equal opportunity to be racist.
And the last thing that “real” black folks wanna do is “act white”.

I am hoping she made the comment to scare of stalkers or get guys to stop hitting on her all the time. :)
What an irony. Back in the days of the Pilgrims, the Indians (at least in New England) used to bath frequently, and they often commented on how bad the Europeans, who only bathed several times a year, smelled. It was said that the Indians could detect the rank smell the Europeans off the coast even before their ships landed. That’s some serious BO.

After reading the actual story, I see the headline is very misleading.
She said that showering MORE THAN ONCE a day is a white people thing. If she showers “only” once a day, she’d be fresh enough for me. :)
Apparently getting a job, getting a education, and now... even taking a bath are “white People” things...

When I worked in the electrical engineering there was a very bright foreigner who was a workaholic and could clear the room. Guess what he was primarily known for?
The headline is misleading. Her actual quote was that showering more than once a day is a white people thing.
