Truman would have been absolutely appalled by 0bama. I believe Truman was actually a very good guy on a personal level, from what I’ve read about him anyway. Certainly better than FDR in that regard.

The USS Nevada (BB-36) was NOT sunk. Her crew (damn near alone among the BBs and I blame the Captains) fought professionally, like hell to get her underway and beach herself and as a result was back in the war and killing Japanese when we re-took Attu in 1943.

Just a quibble, but there were 31 Presidents before Truman, not 32. He is officially the 33rd President, but the two Grover Clevelands were actually the same man.
