PEMBERTON, N.J. (CBS) A young South Jersey mother is in jail, charged with the burning death of her newborn baby Friday night.
Authorities say 22-year-old Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier of Pemberton Township, Burlington County doused her newborn baby with a flammable liquid then set the child on fire.
It happened around 11 p.m. along Simontown Road. Police arrived and quickly extinguished the flames.
You see a site like that, it just puts life into perspective, says Dave Joseph, who lives nearby.
Joseph saw the small fire from his window and went to investigate.
We actually didnt think it was a baby, we just thought it was a fire, somebody dumping everything down there, but when we found out what it was, it was just a nightmare.
The infant was airlifted to St. Christophers Hospital in Philadelphia and died two hours later. Dorvilier was taken into custody at the scene.

“site”???? Where are the editors and proof readers?!!!
Hyphernkemberly?
I have no idea what “puts life in perspective” means.
If I’d been first on the scene, I’d think my shock would be so profound I’d have no perspective; especially considering the child was alive when found burning.
I’m not sure if there is help for that woman. She’s gone.
With a name like that..no wonder..poor child, never stood a chance with a “mother” like that..just burn her ass alive see how she likes it
I’m guessing she won’t like it.
It’s called, “I am so glad that my
Mother didn’t kill me when I was a baby”. Or how about, “I am just blown away that any mother could make a baby die in such a prolonged agonizing way. I mean, she could have killed the baby with drugs and it would be unconscious when dead.
If Obama has another daughter it would look like the mom.
Paging Al Sharpton. Sharpton please pick up the black courtesy phone.
Instead she burned her baby alive.
That woman is seriously mentally ill.
I didn’t think it was possible but that broke the ghetto name generator.
It’s just a post birth abortion. It’s her right, right?
