At least once a week the newspaper here in Ventura County, CA, has a doozie.

Not long ago it was something like ‘Mr. Smith was buried with his favorite pipe and his collie dog.’

I probably have it a bit wrong - it was funny, tho.
That’s been journalism, for quite some time now.
Altho maybe it was a family member who wrote the obit.
But what I don’t understand is - where is the editing???

Unless - - his collie WAS buried with him. It was not clear.
