Belated reply: My source is a book called "The Natural Testosterone Plan" by Stephen Buhner. He claims that hops are an "estrogenic" testosterone suppressant. I looked up the Internet and found that several studies have suggested the same thing, but that the research is inconclusive. Also, I had a faulty memory of Buhner's credentials. I remembered him as a PhD in some sort of biological or chemical or nutritional field, but that is not the case; he is a layman. So I withdraw my claim; the matter is inconclusive.
