I heard both Belichek's and Brady's press conferences yesterday and knowing what I know about them and football, they are patently lying.

1) Belichek is a total control freak and a detail oriented savant. There is no way, NO WAY, something goes on with that football team that he doesn't know about.

2) Chris Simms was on local radio today and they had three footballs: 1 properly inflated, 1 underinflated, and 1 overinflated. He touched each ball once and correctly identified each. This is CHRIS SIMMS! Tom Brady is a first ballot Hall of Famer and he says he couldn't tell???

3) The NFL... So from Sunday until last night (at least) the NFL has not even contacted Tom Brady. No one. Not a word. On the heels of Ray Rice and everything else, you would think they would want to appear better. But they can't. Why?? Because they don't want to suspend the coach or the QB before the big game. They're dragging it out intentionally and as a result, the game will be tainted. The NFL has the worst PR firm in the world working for them and the fact that Roger Goodell is best friends with Robert Kraft doesn't look good.

4) Kraft... Where the hell is he? He's on TV every time the Pats score a damn touchdown and now he's nowhere to be found. He's not coming out saying: "I'll get to the bottom of this!" This makes us look bad. It's embarassing and we'll find out what happened. No. He's totally MIA.

5) Which brings us back to Brady and Belichek. Not ONCE, in both pressers did either person say they were embarrassed and wanted to find out what happened. Not ONCE did they say - this makes us look bad and we'll get to the bottom of it. Not ONCE. Not even close. What did Brady say: "This isn't ISIS, no one is dying." Really?

Tom..you cheated for cheatings sake. You're lying or you're not as talented as Chris Simms. It's not a little deal because you chose do this in the AFC TITLE game...

Bill....you should be suspended for a year at least. Starting now. Sean Payton got a year for doing nothing. Never broke a game rule. Never gave the Saints a competitive advantage. And during that year the Saints were penalized at the bottom of the league for personal fouls. Payton got a year for LYING to the Commissioner.

Oh Mr. Goodell?? Grow a pair of balls. Even if they're underinflated.

The news media didn’t wonder if Obama was lying about knowing about the IRS scandal, benghazi, solyndra, and a thousand other scandals

The media is the enemy and the main problem in America.

The news media now keeps showing us this ridiculous stuff about some footballs. This is not news, not important. the news media is keeps putting out stuff like this to distract the population from what is really going on from as in : Obama’s tyranny, executive amnesty , Obama adding 9 trillion $ to the debt, the fact that people can’t find jobs and are making less money , the danger of the growthg of government etc.

“The NFL has the worst PR firm in the world...”

Do you think superbowl ratings will be better or worse after this issue is constantly in the news cycle until the game itself?

As I understand, the NFL has not officially confirmed any of the “facts” being thrown around except that they are investigating.

It sure seems like the differences being talked about are within the variance of temperature and gauges. Gauges are far less accurate than commonly believed.

There is only one solution to this crisis.

We need a new Federal Agency to inspect & certify everyone's balls.

Federal Ball Inspectors !

I have a solution: Disallow any scores from the first half.

It's amazing how the Colts drubbed them in the second half when the balls were put right. It's obvious they were the better team from their second half come back performance.......

This is due in large part to the fact that the NFL KNOWS that the officials who were reponsible for testing the balls as laid out in the rules failed at this task. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, they dropped the ball.

A chain of possession and documented proof that the proper protocols were followed needs to be presented. If this process was not followed then there is no issue. No DeflateGate. The NFL is trying hard to find a way to present this and probably looking for the one person who will fall on his sword.

I am a lifelong Lions fans.
That said, did Chris Simms stick his hand in an ice-bath for 10 minutes prior to “examining” the balls? Without the “cold” factor, this “pundit” is simply “perpetrating-a-fraud”.

Note, I’m not trying to vindicate Bellichek/Brady but, really...when you get spanked by that much, the nay-sayers appear to be whine-enthusiasts.

Tell me, would Ray Nitchke complain about a “soft ball” when he got pancaked by Alex Karras? And to be circumspect, would D’Qwell have made the INT if the ball ^wasn’t^ soft? (Reference Bostic of GB on the K-O?)

You're reasoning assumes that Brady and Belichek are guilty. According to the rule book, they weren't guilty of much if that's the case. The penalty is to be given a different ball and the incident reported to the commissioner. The whole process of having a team employee guarding the balls instead of an NFL employee is, well, amazing.

Guilty or not, we'll never know for sure now. The time to do a proper investigation was Monday. The NFL doesn't think forward, just goes from crisis to crisis. Maybe the Pats are guilty of something, maybe what they did (if they did) is equivalent to throwing a spitball or corking a bat, or maybe they're innocent and their records are forever tainted.

Step back, and remember what the NFL is. It is entertainment. The Pats are a popular team, more so than the Colts. The NFL will not hit the Pats to hard, because the ratings for the Patriots in the Superbowl will be higher than if the Colts won.

In this day an age, rules only apply as long as the ones making the rules want them to.

I have this feeling that this scandal, not the Ray Rice scandal, could be the downfall of Roger Goodell. Especially when we now know that Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, former Buccaneers QB Brad Johnson, and Giants QB Eli Manning all admitted that they "doctored" the football to their preference one week before each game.

Watch for the NFL to require that the footballs used in the field of play be always under the control of an NFL official and be "seasoned" in a manner approved by the NFL league offices. And the football will have its air pressure checked just before put into field of play. In short, the days of each team "seasoning" 12 footballs for one week before the game is now over.

The solution is to make the inflation pressure standard wider. What difference does it make?

I have a simple solution to this problem. Hire referees who will control the football and make sure no-one has an advantage. I know it sounds simple but APPARENTLY THEY DON'T HAVE ANY REFEREES NOW. OR THEY ARE ON THE TAKE.

THE most troubling thing is when asked if he was a ‘cheater’, instead of an outright and blatant “NO!” he said “I don’t believe I am”..............VERY CLINTON-ESQUE.....................

What follows really does not fit but I it is a phrase used on the set that is dying for an appropriate application.

“Shoot the balls”

Someday this phrase will have an appropriate application and be funny.
