(O, I am sure if MLB moundsman was warmin up usin tball rubber balls...wouldnt know difference, eh?)
Wearing a glove on one hand and the other being in freezing rain?
Question: I wondering, does this mean that any of the referees who held the ball at the end of a play when Brady’s boys were out there were in on this as well?
I don’t believe Brady or Belichick.
Mark Brunell
How many rings and MVP’s does he have? Oh yeah one, as a bench warmer behind Brees.
OK, I’ve done the math.
There is a new post on this subject approximately every 58 minutes.
Let’s keep it up !
It is a real pity and a true shame that the New England Patriots have turned this Super Bowl into such an ugly stink mess with cheating.
Used to be people could be proud during the Super Bowl... with the jets flying overhead and much of the world watching.
Bottom line is Brady displayed zero credibility @ press conference.
We wouldn’t even be hearing about this silly thing if the Patriots had lost.
Why is this important? Is this going to stop the sun from rising or setting? 6 months from now it will be forgotten and there will be a new crisis in the NFL.
I propose we forget about this for another week or two. And then a couple of weeks after the Super Bowl the NFL should suspend Brady for the 2015 season.
OK, maybe that’s too harsh. But don’t ruin the Super Bowl and the chance to see the Seattle Seahawks work their 4th Quarter magic again. Or suspend Brady and watch Seattle clobber the Patriots. No thanks.
Go Pack—— oh wait, at least the Pats know how to deflate off a wounded opponent.
They won’t keep Brady out. No chance. That’s what today’s delay was all about. And it would be silly in any case. It did not affect the game. And Brady wasn’t the only one involved. Bellicheat knew, and Kraft too. Punish the franchise with draft picks and worse — salary cap space.
I’m not a Patriots or a Seattle fan...but the longer this goes on the more I hope the Patriots beat Seattle by about 50. Brady should have answered like Broadway Joe might have. He should have said... “we didn’t need to cheat to beat that lousy Colts team. We’re gonna thump Seattle like a red headed step child.. I guarantee it.”
From the sports radio I’ve heard, nobody believes Brady.
There’s no evidence of anything in this matter.
If you are aware of any specific evidence, I’d like to hear it, but so far I have heard nothing other than an accusation.
Since ALL footballs are made to very specific standards, my question is when Brady said he felt each ball prior to game time for the ‘best feel’, what exactly made one ball feel better than the rest?
(Well, at least NFL isn't sitting on hands on this one...or at least is trying to give an appearance of checking out Patriot Playoffs Cheat Gate II: The Sequel)
What’s all the ‘hoo-ha’ about this, other than a lot of people who just don’t like that team winning? I don’t even watch football, but I know that each team controls it’s own balls. It’s not like giving the other team a ‘bad’ football.
There is a measure of inflation rate to be followed, it was cold weather that perhaps affected it too. One thing I do know is that REFEREES will toss the ball back and forth to each other to check the weight. Have they asked the referees?
The Referee’s run each ball into the game. The Ref’s are constantly swapping in new footballs.
Are we to believe the Ref’s, responsible to identify rule infractions and assess penalties, did not realize the balls were under inflated?
Maybe, it was the junior Ref from Cinci, the one called Gruber.
Then again, What difference, at this point, does it make
