Everyone arguing that the ambient temperature caused 2 psi of deflation is ignoring the fact that the Colts balls, which were tested at the same temperature before the game, were measured and found to be still in compliance.
There’s really no room for debate there. If they ended at 13.5 and had been warm at inspection, they could not have been within specs At inspection. It’s basic math, which accurately represents physical reality as experimentally shown literally millions of times...probably to you as well.
Clarification: Theres an assumption or two which arent correct unless the Colts were messing with pressure. The assumption that doesnt work is that the Colts balls started at room temperature and within specs at that time, if they were at 13.5 PSI at halftime.
You are making a few assumptions of your own. Who said they ended at 13.5 psi? It is more likely that the Patriots balls were deflated while the Colts balls were not.
