Eddie Ray Routh, the Marine Corps veteran accused of killing real life "American Sniper" Chris Kyle, will plead "not guilty" in the upcoming trial his lawyer said.
Kyle, a former Navy SEAL, and his friend Chad Littlefield were gunned down at point blank range at a Texas shooting range while trying to help Routh overcome PTSD back in Feb. 2013. Routh's trial is scheduled to begin next month pending jury selection and his attorney said recently that he will plead "not guilty" to both shooting deaths.
"My client will plead not guilty by reason of insanity," Routh's attorney, J. Warren St. John, told People Magazine in a report last week. He was also quoted by Reuters as saying, "Our guy is not evil."

You want to bet? He did what all of the Islamofascist evil in Iraq couldn't do. He murdered U.S. Navy SEAL, Chris Kyle. Back shot him to boot. Fatboy Mikey Moore likes "back shooting cowards", Chris Kyle's murderer is his guy.
Did PTSD make him do it?
I’m thinking he needs protective custody.
......justice will find him.
Was this pansy meeting with government psychiatrists beforehand, and if so, who where when what how and why? I don’t think he acted alone. Was anyone else present at that firing range? How convenient for there not to have been , eh?
Didn’t this guy already confess?
Is PTSD to blame?
Is PTSD to blame?
The only way he can try to plea bargain with the prosecutor is to enter a not guilty plea. Its just a legal maneuver done by the guilty and actual not guilty. No big deal. It doesn’t even mean he thinks he’s not guilty.
In September, Routh had been transported to a psychiatric hospital after he threatened to kill himself and his family, and he later told officers that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, Lancaster police records show.
...the VA failed to treat Routh and keep him in the mental hospital. He was released two days before the shooting against his families wishes (after he threatened to kill them).
So.... Is PTSD to blame?

He sounds like a schizo to me. Drugs might have something to do with it as well. I don’t think he ever saw any combat.
“”and his friend Chad Littlefield were gunned down””
I can’t help but wonder how this veteran’s family feels with all the publicity about Kyle. He always seems to be mentioned as a second thought or not at all. I’m sure the loss to his family was just as great as Kyle’s was to the Kyle family.
Sounds like maybe he was insane.
Is it a capital case? Wouldn’t a ‘not guilty’ plea be mandatory?
Perp is one of those bonnie muzzie converts.
Honky muzzie convert, I heard.
You are correct. It is a capital case. Is this the guys first appearance. I didnt even think. Duh.
