Pro Bowl selections shouldn't even be considered. Pro Bowlers are selected through a vote by the NFL players, so you end up with a lot of guys who don't make the Pro Bowl simply because they aren't well-liked around the league.
I think it was Hall of Fame linebacker Harry Carson who once said that he never voted for a Philadelphia player on a Pro Bowl ballot.

Yep. I remember a player saying that it was a running joke among the players, “I’ll vote for you if you vote for me.”
